Congressional Briefings

Earlier today, CSA staff and members had a productive meeting with a staffer in House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ office. The staffer was extremely interested in our process and results, noting that it is not common for organizations to tackle policy research in such depth while also having such strong connections with both everyday Americans and Congress. She felt it was very helpful to hear the opinions of our members on this issue as this legislation is being developed and discussed.

We began the process by meeting with staff from the offices of Senators Bennet (D-CO), Murkowski (R-AK), Kaine (D-VA), and Shaheen (D-NH), with more meetings already scheduled for next week.
